Size: 6 inches tall 5 wide approx. Medium: Cast and patinated Bronze Price: For Sale Details: Solid Bronze cast of a four person group hug. This is a small version of a design for a much larger sculpture, called a maquette. It is one of the last two in the series I produced for my degree show and one I may just have to keep for myself! I worked directly into wax for this process, metling and reforming it to create the shape around the miniature human figures I used to inform the physical dynamic of the piece. The patina I applied has aged beautifully but you can see glints of the raw bronze colour if you brush it lightly with wire wool.
It is extremely heavy but has a wonderful tactlie quality if you have the strength of hand to hold it!
